Cemex, Truck Drivers Settle OT Class Action

Law360, New York (January 11, 2010, 12:51 PM EST) -- A federal judge has signed off on a settlement between Cemex Inc. and a group of former employees who accused the cement purveyor in a consolidated action of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act by withholding overtime wages to truck drivers.

Judge Harvey Schlesinger of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida approved the pact Friday, dismissing the case with prejudice four days after the sides submitted a joint motion for settlement.
