CIT Denies US Steel Challenge Of S. Korean Duties

Law360, New York (January 12, 2010, 4:19 PM EST) -- A judge has shot down a challenge by United States Steel Corp. and Nucor Corp. to the government's calculation of anti-dumping duties on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from South Korean company Hyundai Hysco.

In an opinion issued Monday Judge Timothy Stanceu of the U.S. Court of International Trade denied a request by the American steel companies for a judgment on the agency record, saying “substantial” evidence supported a U.S. Department of Commerce calculation of 0.53 percent duties against Hysco in an administrative review of the...
