Hebei Wins Injunction On Duty, Despite US Objections

Law360, New York (January 12, 2010, 12:43 PM EST) -- Over the objections of the U.S. government, the U.S. Court of International Trade has granted a preliminary injunction to Hebei Foreign Trade and Advertising Corp. in the Chinese activated carbon exporter's challenge to its anti-dumping rate.

On Monday, CIT Chief Judge Jane A. Restani signed off on an order granting Hebei's request for a preliminary injunction and enjoining the U.S. from liquidating the activated carbon the company has imported from China while the case proceeds.
