Eli Lilly & Co. Sued By 105 Plaintiffs Over Zyprexa

Law360, New York (November 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Eli Lilly and Co. has been slapped with a lawsuit claiming the company kept evidence of possible adverse effects buried when it touted its bestselling antipsychotic drug Zyprexa.

In the complaint filed Monday in federal court in eastern Texas, the 105 plaintiffs claim that they suffered as a result of Indiana-based Eli Lilly’s “false” and “misleading” representations and promotions of the drug.

The plaintiffs either ingested Zyprexa or represent a person who took the drug, according to the complaint.
