Calif. AG Fires Off Suit V. Electronic Cigarette Retailer

Law360, New York (January 15, 2010, 2:09 PM EST) -- California's attorney general has hit Smoking Everywhere Inc. with a lawsuit claiming the electronic cigarette retailer targets minors and makes misleading claims that its products are a safe alternative to smoking.

The lawsuit, filed by state Attorney General Edmund Brown in the Superior Court of the State of California on Wednesday, seeks to block the Smoking Everywhere from selling its products until there is clear evidence that the company's advertisements are valid.
