1st Circ. Nixes Appeal Of Lennon-Ono Video Ruling

Law360, New York (January 15, 2010, 4:12 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has rejected as too late a video company's bid to overturn a lower court ruling that John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono is the rightful owner of stolen videos that she purchased of her and the rock legend in 1970.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit on Wednesday granted a motion by Ono to dismiss the appeal by World Wide Video LLC as untimely, noting the appeal was filed nearly three months late.
