Gibson Dunn Malpractice Suit Sent To Arbitration

Law360, New York (January 15, 2010, 1:06 PM EST) -- A federal judge has refused to reconsider an order compelling arbitration in a hotel operator's legal malpractice suit against Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP over its work on the company's stock issuance, finding that the contract between the parties clearly mandated arbitration.

Judge Roger L. Hunt of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada on Thursday affirmed a magistrate judge's August 2009 order staying the proceedings and compelling arbitration between the firm and Archon Corp., the hotel operator.
