Argentine Court Suspends Telecom Sale Timetable

Law360, New York (January 15, 2010, 7:11 PM EST) -- An Argentine appeals court has suspended the timetable the country's antitrust regulators laid out for Telecom Italia SpA to divest itself of its holdings there, according to a spokeswoman for the company.

The Court of Appeals of Buenos Aires issued its decision Friday, according to reports by an Italian newswire.

It was unclear whether a new time line was laid out or why the court decided to stay the divestiture, which requires Telecom Italia to sell its stake in the parent company of Telecom Argentina SA....
