Tyco Locks Down Broadview Security In $2B Deal

Law360, New York (January 19, 2010, 5:18 PM EST) -- Tyco International Ltd. said Tuesday it will buy Broadview Security in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at $2 billion that would unite the residential security provider with Tyco unit ADT Security Services Inc.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday, Tyco said it would pay $42.50 per share to combine Broadview, formerly known as Brink's Home Security Holdings Inc., with ADT, the world's largest electronic security provider.
