Sewage Board Wants Back Into Katrina MDL

Law360, New York (January 20, 2010, 2:10 PM EST) -- The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans has appealed its dismissal from multidistrict litigation accusing the U.S government, Louisiana officials and others of negligence in the creation and upkeep of a levee breached during Hurricane Katrina, an action that has left the board in the position of defending itself alone in state court.

The board lodged notice of its appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana on Tuesday.
