Apple Takes Fresh Aim At Nokia Over Tech Patents

Law360, New York (January 20, 2010, 6:33 PM EST) -- Apple Inc. has stepped up its patent war with Nokia Corp., lodging a Section 337 action in the U.S. International Trade Commission against the cell phone manufacturer over a slew of patents for technology used in smartphones and computers.

Apple's complaint, filed Jan. 15, claims Nokia — by importing various models of PDAs, computers and cell phones — is infringing claims in nine Apple-owned patents that cover software, graphics and hardware technologies.
