Gibson Dunn, PwC Cayman Off Hook In Refco MDL

Law360, New York (January 22, 2010, 1:30 PM EST) -- Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, two of its attorneys and the Cayman Islands arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers have escaped the consolidated securities litigation over the collapse of Refco Inc., with the law firm heading to arbitration.

Judge Jed S. Rakoff in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday granted both companies' motions to dismiss, at the recommendation of Special Master Ronald J. Hedges.
