Calif. AG Clears Split Of Health Systems With Commitments

By Matthew Perlman (January 10, 2022, 7:25 PM EST) -- California's attorney general said Monday his office will not oppose a settlement ending a decadelong affiliation between hospital systems, after one of the newly independent providers committed to expanding reproductive health services in Orange County.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a statement saying enforcers have agreed not to object to a settlement between Providence St. Joseph Health and Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian that's set to end an affiliation between the systems that began in 2012.
