9th Circ. Won't Rethink Shell Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (January 26, 2010, 1:26 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has refused to reconsider its decision to affirm the dismissal of a putative class action filed by California gas station owners accusing Shell Oil Co., Chevron Corp. and Saudi Refining Inc. of engaging in a scheme to fix fuel prices for 23,000 U.S. franchise owners.

In an order Monday a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said it would not rehear the case. The judges also refused a request for the case to be reheard en banc....
