Judge Certifies Class Action Against Wal-Mart

Law360 (December 5, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- In just one of the many wage and hour suits filed against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. nationwide, a state judge has granted class action status to every Wal-Mart hourly employee in Kentucky who failed to receive proper rest and meal breaks.

Though the merits of the case have yet to be decided, Judge Marc Rosen of Boyd Circuit Court in Kentucky wrote in his Nov. 21 order that the plaintiffs have identified extensive evidence to be used at trial.
