Vietnamese Fish Exporter Escapes Dumping Duties

Law360, New York (January 27, 2010, 3:44 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce issued a preliminary finding Wednesday that Vietnam-based NTSF Seafoods Joint Stock Co. will not have to pay anti-dumping duties on frozen fish fillets to which most other Vietnamese exporters are subject.

The International Trade Administration said in a Federal Register notice that NTSF — which had requested a review of its sales — would be subject to a 0 percent duty for any fillets that the company both manufactures and ships, rather than the Vietnamwide rate of 63.88 percent
