Toyota’s Woes Grow As Huge Recall Spreads

Law360, New York (January 28, 2010, 5:10 PM EST) -- Toyota Motor Corp.’s troubles are mounting as the company reportedly has extended its massive vehicle recall to China and Europe only days after millions were pulled off U.S. lots.

The company will recall an undisclosed number of vehicles in Europe, though Reuters speculated that up to 2 million cars could be involved.

The exact models targeted by the European recall also are unknown, but the auto giant has withdrawn about 75,000 RAV4 sport utility vehicles in China, the New York Times said, citing a memo posted...
