Avian Flu Infects Veterinary Medical Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (December 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Veterinary biotechnology company Cyntegra Inc. revealed Tuesday that it has filed a motion for preliminary injunction in its antitrust lawsuit against rival researcher and manufacturer Idexx Laboratories Inc.

Cyntegra said it was motivated to file the motion by South Korea’s recent disclosure that it is slaughtering thousands of pigs, cats and dogs out of fear that the animals will spread avian flu to humans.
