Starbucks Recalls Glass Bottles Over Shatter Risk

Law360, New York (January 29, 2010, 3:02 PM EST) -- Starbucks Corp. has voluntarily recalled more than 12,000 glass water bottles following reports that consumers have been cut by the bottles shattering when the stopper is removed or inserted.

Starbucks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada announced the recall of the approximately 12,200 products on Thursday. The vast majority of the bottles — about 11,000 — were sold in the U.S.
