DC Moves To Toss $2M Bid-Rigging Case

Law360, New York (January 29, 2010, 4:14 PM EST) -- The District of Columbia has asked a federal judge to throw out a contractor’s $2 million suit accusing various district agencies of engaging in illegal bid-rigging for public works contracts, arguing that the claims are precluded by procedural rules.

The district filed a motion for judgment as a matter of law or, alternatively, summary judgment on plaintiff John C. Cheeks’ claims in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Thursday.
