FedEx Sexual Harassment Case Heads To Jury Trial

Law360, New York (December 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge ruled Tuesday against Federal Express Corp.’s motion for summary judgment in a same-sex sexual discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against the package carrier.

Judge Harold A. Baker’s decision paved the way for the case to go before a jury. The trial is slated to begin January 22, 2007.

The complaint, which was originally filed in September 2004, alleged that FedEx allowed a male employee to sexually harass male couriers in its Kankakee, Ill. facility.
