Futures Exchanges Continue Battle

Law360, New York (December 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The latest move in a battle between two rivals trying to control the extremely lucrative United States options market, the International Securities Exchange revealed Wednesday that it had filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the Chicago Board Options Exchange.

The suit, filed on Nov 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, claims that CBOE infringed on ISE’s patent titled, “automated exchange for trading derivative securities.”
