Court Orders House Arrest For Ex-Cendant Exec

Law360, New York (December 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has put E. Kirk Shelton on a short leash while he appeals his numerous criminal fraud convictions, confining the former Cendant Corporation chief to his home until the appeals process plays out.

Judge Alvin Thompson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut placed Shelton on house arrest, allowing him to leave his home only to visit his lawyers and his psychiatrist.
