US Saw Blade Cos. Fight Reduction In Korean Duties

Law360, New York (February 3, 2010, 1:43 PM EST) -- Domestic diamond saw blade producers are trying to prevent trade regulators from recalculating anti-dumping margins that South Korean saw blade manufacturers claim are inflated due to ministerial errors.

The Diamond Sawblades Manufacturers’ Coalition, a domestic trade group, said in a motion filed with the U.S. Court of International Trade on Tuesday that the contentious calculations do not contain ministerial gaffes and that the U.S. Department of Commerce, currently engaged with both Korean companies and the coalition over the anti-dumping duties, should not recalculate the margins....
