Senate Panel Advances Labor Atty Becker For NLRB

Law360, New York (February 4, 2010, 12:42 PM EST) -- The U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on Thursday reported out the nomination of labor attorney Craig Becker for the National Labor Relations Board, but threats of a Republican filibuster on the Senate floor remain.

HELP Committee members voted 13-10 along party lines in favor of advancing Becker's nomination to fill one of three current vacancies at the five-member NLRB.
