Cooper Tire Docs Contain Trade Secrets: Texas Court

Law360, New York (February 4, 2010, 1:54 PM EST) -- A Texas appeals court has asked a judge to set aside an order compelling Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. to produce discovery related to one of its tire designs, finding that it contained trade secrets and wasn't relevant to the suit over a separated tread in a different tire.

Texas' 14th Court of Appeals asked that the order be vacated Tuesday, conditionally granting Cooper's petition for a writ of mandamus if the lower court doesn't comply with its decision.
