Visteon Wants Pensioners Off Creditors Committee

Law360, New York (February 4, 2010, 1:00 PM EST) -- Auto parts maker Visteon Corp. has asked a bankruptcy judge to reconsider an earlier order requiring the U.S. trustee to appoint pension plan participants to its creditors committee, saying pensioners have no direct claims against the company.

In a motion filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Visteon said pension plan participants are required to pursue their claims with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. once the company's pension plan is terminated.
