Johnson Controls Slammed With Cleanup Delay Suit

Law360, New York (February 5, 2010, 1:19 PM EST) -- A Michigan property developer has sued auto parts maker Johnson Controls Inc. for its alleged foot-dragging on cleaning up a heavily contaminated site that is slated to be turned into condominiums.

JCI left the site “literally soaked” with pollutants despite a 2003 order from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency mandating a cleanup, Saline River Properties LLC said in a suit filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
