EPA Orders NuCo Energy To Halt Brine Discharges

Law360, New York (February 9, 2010, 2:35 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has ordered NuCo Energy Inc. to cease brine discharges into a tributary of Adams Creek in Okmulgee County, Okla.

Tuesday's cease-and-desist order said the Beggs, Okla.-based company had been flagged for violations of the federal Clean Water Act in connection with its oil production-related operations.
