EU Sends Notices To Cos. In Freight Forwarding Probe

Law360, New York (February 10, 2010, 2:40 PM EST) -- The European Commission said Wednesday that it has sent statements of objections to companies it suspects are part of a cartel to fix air freight forwarding prices, including the Panalpina Group, Kuehne & Nagel AG and Deutsche Post DHL.

DHL said that it has received immunity from the commission in exchange for cooperating with the investigation. Panalpina and Kuehne & Nagel said that they would examine the objections and respond to them.

The commission also sent statements of objections to DSV and UPS Inc., Reuters reported...
