Duty To Defend Suit Over Bratz Case To Continue

Law360, New York (February 11, 2010, 5:39 PM EST) -- A dispute between MGA Entertainment Inc. and Evanston Insurance Co. over whether the insurer must fork over tens of millions of dollars to cover MGA's defense in Mattel's much hyped suit over the company's Bratz dolls will move forward following a judge's mixed ruling on cross-motions for summary judgment.

On Wednesday, Judge David O. Carter of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California denied the insurance company's motion for summary judgment and partially granted MGA's motion.
