US Faces Suit Over Silicon Metal Dumping Margins

Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 6:33 PM EST) -- A U.S. producer of silicon metal has filed a lawsuit challenging the U.S. Department of Commerce's anti-dumping duty order on Chinese manufacturers for silicon metal exported from June 1, 2007, to May 31, 2008.

Globe Metallurgical Inc. filed a complaint Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade objecting to the government's decision not to deduct a Chinese export tax and value-added tax from the respondents' U.S. export prices, among other aspects of the calculation.
