FDA Warns Kellogg Over Tainted Eggo Waffles

Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 2:02 PM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has rebuked Kellogg Co. after discovering a potentially life-threatening bacteria in the company's plant in Georgia, threatening to seize products or even shutter the plant unless the health violations are immediately corrected.

The FDA letter, dated Jan. 27, was made public Tuesday. A spokeswoman for Kellogg said Wednesday that the company had already addressed all the violations outlined in the letter.
