Mirant Settles Spat Over Power Plants' Effect On Fish

Law360, New York (February 18, 2010, 2:00 PM EST) -- California's Kern County Water Agency and an ad hoc group of water users have settled a dispute with Mirant Delta LLC and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers alleging that the energy company’s operation of two California power plants has harmed endangered fish.

The water agency and the Coalition for a Sustainable Delta said Wednesday they had resolved the matter stemming from Mirant’s natural gas-fired power plants in Contra Costa and Pittsburg in Northern California.
