Pet Food Co.'s Antitrust Claim Unsupported: Judge

Law360, New York (February 18, 2010, 6:08 PM EST) -- A federal judge has found that high-end pet food maker Royal Canin USA Ltd. has failed to prove a sales promotion contract with San Francisco-area chain Pet Food Express Ltd. was anti-competitive.

In a summary judgment ruling issued Tuesday, Judge Marilyn Hall Patel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said that Royal Canin had not offered up a strong argument to prove the contract violated state antitrust law.
