Rimkus' Trade Secret Suit Survives Dismissal Bid

Law360, New York (February 19, 2010, 3:02 PM EST) -- A federal court has denied a motion to dismiss a damage assessment firm's suit against former employees who allegedly used the company's trade secrets to build a competitive new business.

Judge Keith P. Ellison of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas denied a motion Tuesday by James Balentine Jr., a former employee of Houston-based Rimkus Consulting Group Inc., to dismiss Rimkus' suit accusing him of misappropriating its client database for lack of personal jurisdiction.
