Waxman Calls Out WellPoint On Rate Hike Explanation

Law360, New York (February 19, 2010, 1:47 PM EST) -- U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., has asked health insurer WellPoint Inc. to explain why it cited declining enrollment as justification for attempts to raise premium rates, when data submissions show its enrollment actually increased in 2009.
