Asyst Gets Green Light For Ch. 11 Disclosure, Plan

Law360, New York (February 22, 2010, 6:47 PM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge has signed off on semiconductor technology provider Asyst Technologies Inc.'s Chapter 11 liquidation plan over objections from several parties including the official committee of unsecured creditors.

Judge Randall J. Newsome of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday gave his final approval to Asyst's Chapter 11 disclosure statement and joint plan of liquidation in the wake of a major asset sale to Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd.
