Catheter Maker Settles Antitrust Suit For $49M

Law360, New York (December 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Catheter manufacturer Rochester Medical Corp., which launched an antitrust suit against a group of rival medical supply manufacturers and group purchasers two years ago, announced Thursday that it has settled with yet another party named in the suit.

The company stated that C.R. Bard Inc. has agreed to pay $49 million. In return, Rochester Medical will drop the fellow catheter maker from the litigation with prejudice.

Rochester Medical said that part of the settlement would go towards its attorneys’ fees.
