ITC To Review Duties On Chinese, Russian Magnesium

Law360, New York (February 25, 2010, 6:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has said it is launching five-year reviews of anti-dumping duty orders on magnesium imported from China and Russia.

The reviews, announced by the ITC on Wednesday, will look at whether revoking the existing anti-dumping duties would lead to a recurrence or continuance of any harm to U.S. industry.

The U.S. Department of Commerce initially imposed the duties in question on April 15, 2005. They cover both primary and secondary magnesium metal, as well as blends of the two. Primary magnesium is...
