Qui Tam Case Over USDA Contractor Billing Tossed

Law360, New York (March 1, 2010, 4:01 PM EST) -- A federal court has dismissed a whistleblower suit accusing two U.S. Department of Agriculture telecommunications contractors of misrepresenting their work to the department to get extra payments, though she has given the plaintiff leave to amend his suit.

Judge Gladys Kessler of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled Thursday that the plaintiff, Robert Bender, hadn't pleaded his case against North American Telecommunications Inc. and Capitol Technology Services Inc. with enough specificity.
