Technician Hits General Electric With OT Action

Law360, New York (March 1, 2010, 1:11 PM EST) -- A General Electric Co. employee has filed a proposed Fair Labor Standards Act class action against the conglomerate, alleging its service technicians are not paid overtime.

William Scott, who says he worked at a GE facility in West Palm Beach, Fla., filed the suit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Scott alleges he was a nonexempt service technician for GE and regularly worked over 40 hours per week, but was not paid for all the overtime he worked.
