'Modern Warfare' Developers Sue Activision For $36M

Law360, New York (March 4, 2010, 3:10 PM EST) -- Developers of the blockbuster video game “Modern Warfare 2” have sued their former employer Activision Publishing Inc. for breach of contract, saying the company fired them on trumped-up causes to avoid paying them at least $36 million in royalties.

The former heads of Activision subsidiary Infinity Ward Studio, Jason West and Vince Zampella, filed suit against the company on Wednesday in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los Angeles, seeking at least $36 million and other possible damages.
