Italiana, United Coal Resolve $9M Contract Dispute

Law360, New York (March 5, 2010, 5:44 PM EST) -- A federal judge has closed the book on coke refiner Italiana Coke SRL's suit accusing former supplier United Coal Co. LLC of backing out of a $9.4 million coking coal contract, following an announcement that the parties had settled the dispute through mediation.

Judge John G. Koeltl of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday dismissed the suit without prejudice, in accordance with the parties' stipulation of dismissal filed under seal.
