ES&S Must Shed Assets Under DOJ Deal

Law360, New York (March 8, 2010, 6:21 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has ordered voting machine giant Election Systems & Software Inc. to sell off key assets in the wake of its controversial purchase of Diebold Inc.'s Premier Election Solutions Inc. unit last year, saying the divestiture was necessary to restore competition in voting equipment systems in the United States.
