CBD Sues US Again To Force Penguin Protection

Law360, New York (March 10, 2010, 4:53 PM EST) -- The Center for Biological Diversity has accused the U.S. government of dragging its feet on a decision on the status of seven penguin species, filing its second suit over delays in listing the penguins under the Endangered Species Act.

The CBD and Turtle Island Restoration Network brought the complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and the Fish and Wildlife Service, demanding that the federal government complete the listing process.
