Fla. Seeks FEMA Aid For Chinese Drywall Damage

Law360, New York (March 11, 2010, 2:12 PM EST) -- Florida's interim director of emergency management has asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help Florida homeowners harmed by Chinese drywall, which has been found to corrode wiring, plumbing and appliances and produce noxious fumes.

“Florida families are suffering deeply and we need your urgent assistance,” interim Director David Halstead wrote to FEMA Regional Administrator Phillip May in a letter dated Tuesday.
