Filene's Ordered To Halt Sales Of Fendi-Marked Items

Law360, New York (March 12, 2010, 1:23 PM EST) -- Fendi Adele SRL has won summary judgment and an injunction in its suit accusing Filene's Basement Inc. of selling counterfeit goods with the Italian fashion house's famous trademark in violation of the Lanham Act and New York state law.

Judge Richard M. Berman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday ordered Filene's to stop selling handbags or other goods bearing the Fendi name.
