Cowboys Owner's Oil Co. Snared In $15M Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (March 12, 2010, 3:36 PM EST) -- The oil and gas company belonging to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been accused of facilitating a $15 million investor fraud carried out by Star Exploration Inc., a short-lived oil and gas drilling concern.

The complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, alleges Jones’ right-hand man at Blue Star Exploration Co. helped establish Star Exploration to drill wells on Blue Star land and turned a blind eye when it was obvious the startup was swindling investors’ money....
