$134M Development Spat Survives Dismissal Bids

Law360, New York (March 16, 2010, 3:20 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has thrown out cross-motions to dismiss in U.S. Home Corp.'s contract dispute against Settlers Crossing LLP over a $134 million agreement to buy land for commercial real estate development that was never finalized.

Judge Deborah K. Chasanow of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland on Thursday tossed the opposing motions, saying each party was wrongly accusing the other of purposely misreading its intent.
